About Us
Who we are, and what SALAM AUSTRALIA is for.
What is SALAM AUSTRALIA?
SALAM AUSTRALIA (salamaustralia.com) is a free, independent web directory — a single home page that brings together the links people living in or moving to Australia look up most often: banks, government services (myGov, the ATO, Centrelink, Medicare), universities, immigration and visa portals, news, sports, online stores, airlines, and a set of everyday tools like a calculator, currency converter and age calculator.
The goal is simple: save you the trouble of remembering or searching for the same handful of official and useful websites every time you need them. You can also personalise the home page — add your own quick links, reorder sections, and save your favourites — all stored locally in your own browser.
Independence
SALAM AUSTRALIA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of the Australian Government, any bank, university, or other organisation linked from this site. We simply link out to the official sites — always verify anything sensitive (like banking logins or visa applications) is happening on the organisation's own official domain before entering personal details.
